Sports

Allie Kruger thought that the game was going to go okay, “I’m really nervous, and I don’t know why.”

Everything was pretty slow while the players were warming up. Roosevelt and Hoover were both doing the same warm ups. They both looked about the same in coordination. The players all seemed pretty pumped.

Destine Pailmore started the game for Roosevelt and for Hoover Nyachristmas started. Hoover took the ball for the ball drop.

Roosevelt took control of the ball at 5:50 in the 1st period. The score was 2-4 Hoover. #14 on Hoover took the ball back down the court, and got a basket, which made the score, 4-5 Hoover was still wining.

It was the end of the first quarter it was 5-6 Hoover. It was pretty much an even game so far; the players can all keep up with each other.

5:18 left in the 2nd quarter 9-5 Hoover. “2 on white.” No baskets were made for the free throw.

#14 on Hoover snatches the ball and runs down the court passing everybody and shoots with 0 seconds left and she scores. 16-11 Hoover, end of 2nd quarter.

In the 3rd quarter we lost some players that had to go to the Varsity game. The pace of the game got much slower for Roosevelt and they started loosing even more (Because of lost players). 6:00 min left in 3rd quarter 21-13 Hoover.

Roosevelt’s picking up the pace and the couch put out the “best” 3 players. Roosevelt- #23, #21, #25. Hoover- #14, #32, #24. There was a 3-point shot made by #14 for Hoover.

The ending score was 36-23 Hoover.

“Upset mostly with offence.” The coach said. She didn’t like the score on the scoreboard and thought the offence could have done better.

“No we did not play well, we barely made any of our free throws.” Nani said. Nani was upset because she said, “We missed a lot of opportunities to get caught up to them”.

Winter Break

Winter Break is coming up, student, teachers, and hall monitor's are excited for this break. Winter break is a time to spend with family and friends and enjoy the holidays. That time is right around the corner.

Winter break begins December 20th through January 2nd. That gives us fourteen days of break missing eight days of school days not including the weekends.

James Turner our hall monitor thinks winter break should be a month.
"Its snowy, cold, and we have a few holidays. We should get the whole month of December off" Turner said.

Unfortunately we come back on a Thursday giving us two more days until a weekend.
"We should come back on a Monday, it would do us all a favor" Turner says.
